JACKIE MCCORMICK - STAGE MANAGER FOR LUNENBURG BY NORM FOSTER
Jackie is excited to be making her debut with Cow Patti Comedy Dinner Theatre, after talking about the possibility of Stage Managing with AnnaMarie Lea for many years! Currently based out of Ottawa, Jackie has spent 14 years Stage Managing with Upper Canada Playhouse in Morrisburg, Ontario on over 35 productions. Favourite productions include Anne, Bedtime Stories, A Christmas Carol, Having Hope at Home, Bob's Your Elf, Everything I Love about Christmas, Hilda's Yard, and Boeing, Boeing. Other selected stage management credits include The Penelopiad (St. Lawrence College), Feelgood, Skin Flick (Theatre New Brunswick), Leading Ladies (Victoria Petrolia Playhouse) and Skin Flick (Lighthouse Festival Theatre).
Jackie lived in Edmonton, Alberta from 1991 - 1996 and though she doesn't get to visit as much as she likes, she's thrilled to be back, enjoying the wide open sky and wonderful company during her time with Cow Patti! Sending gratitude and love to AnnaMarie and Tom for having me here, the incredible cast and creative team of this fantastic show and to my sons back home, Quentin & Bruce and their truly amazing father, Josh who's holding down the fort back home. Enjoy the show!

Favorite Norm Foster quote or line from one of his play
No. Love doesn't conquer all. That's a myth. Love is like...like this bottle of beer. You drink enough of these and you forget about your problems for a while. But soon the Black Label wears off and your problems are still there. Plus you've got a woman beside you now and you have to go out and buy more beer. Do you know how much beer costs? No. Love does not conquer all.

What is your favorite “famous moment” in the business?
I don’t know if it’s “famous”, but when I regaled a cast I was working with on how moved I was by a production of “Brigadoon” at the Academy Theatre in Lindsay, ON when I was a young teen, and finding out I was now working with people who were in that show - it was a big moment that’s stuck with me.
Who is your favorite famous actor/actress you have worked with?
I’m always astounded by the incredible careers of the actors I work with. To me, doing what you love and being in this business for decades is huge, and makes them famous to me.
